The 2006 Navman Maui Speed Challenge Series, presented by Naish Sails, is making waves this summer. A six-event challenge starting July 9, the races are for pros and recreational sailors alike. For full details, download the Notice of Race and the Entry Form from the download center.

Venue:
Kanaha (Naish) Beach between Canoe Hale and Kite Beach.

Discipline:
GPS Speed Sailing—each sailor will sail with a Navman Sport Tool digital personal GPS trainer.

Classes:
Open, Men, Women, Master (over 45), Fun, Youth (16 and younger) over 100lbs, and Youth 100lbs and under, Kite.

Format:
Sailors in the same class sail together to experience the same conditions. Sailors will have 20-minute heats to try to obtain their best speeds.

$25 per single race; $125 for the series

Schedule:
10 AM Sailor check-in at event site
11 AM First possible start
4 PM Last possible start
